Handwheel watch model numerators, used as position indicators, provide a circular scale control and provide measurement information using single or double dials to measure adjustments (changes in position, length, angle, speed, etc.). Generally, the red dial indicates the full rotation rate of the drive shaft per revolution, and the black dial determines the rotational portion, i.e., the number of turns. In short, the red dial represents the revolution scale, and the black dial displays the total scale count.

Clockwise position indicators are available with standard or custom scale faces designed to meet specific machine and process requirements. These instruments are hand-cranked clockwise position indicators that facilitate precise adjustments to variable position ranges, such as distance between cylinders, gate widths, valves, and other rotary or screw-controlled equipment and units, enabling machine operators to return to these precise settings without guesswork.

An analog clock mounted on a horizontal or 60-degree axis (shaft) is used to determine the correct position of another unit, which moves in conjunction with the rotation of the shaft movement of the numerator. Indicators are commonly used as adjustment indicators in glass machines, food machines, ceramic machines, packaging and printing machines, and similar machines.
